Ornette is an S-tier Shock DPS with excellent personal damage and team utility. Her wide AoE and self crit damage buff let her contribute heavily in switch sequences without needing long field time. Build her with 3-piece Ruinsbreaker + 2-piece Thunderrush, prioritizing ATK, Crit Chance and Crit DMG. Best paired with Sion and Tarte for a Shock team, or with Lute as a flexible support partner.

⚡ Combat Style
Ornette's kit blends sacred-magic effects with direct scythe-range melee. In the three-step combo system, her role is to stack Shock on the target during the Apply step, ride that ailment through her Active Skills during the Extend step, and either close with her own Signal Skill or tag out so an ally can land a finisher off the primed Shock window.
Knockdown rounds out her kit as a secondary effect, letting her flatten targets for extended punish windows. Her wide AoE attacks and self crit damage buff make her extremely effective in short switch bursts — she doesn't need to stay on field long to deal significant damage.

Sion + Tarte + Ornette — Shock Team Loop
- Sion deploys his sacred relic to group enemies and apply Shock
- Tarte stacks additional Shock debuffs and provides healing support
- Ornette switches in with wide scythe AoE, critting buffed by her passive
- Ornette applies Knockdown to flatten grouped enemies
- Chain Signal Skills off the Shock window for massive burst
✅ Strengths
S-Tier Damage
Personal damage output is among the highest in the game with self crit damage buff.
Wide AoE Coverage
Scythe attacks hit large areas, excellent against grouped enemies and trash mobs.
Dual Ailment
Applies both Shock and Knockdown, enabling multiple combo routes.
Switch Burst
Contributes greatly in switch sequences without needing long field time.
❌ Weaknesses
- Shock-dependent — Peak damage requires Shock setup from allies like Sion or Tarte
- Melee range — Scythe requires close positioning, risking damage from boss attacks
- Less effective solo — Without Shock partners, her ailment chains are slower
🎮 Combat Tips
- Switch in after Shock setup — Let Sion or Tarte apply Shock first, then switch to Ornette for burst
- Use Knockdown after AoE — After wide scythe attacks group enemies, use Knockdown for extended punish
- Short field time — Ornette excels in quick switch bursts. Deal damage, then tag out for allies to chain
- Position for groups — Her wide AoE is wasted on single targets; save her for grouped encounters
- Stack crit — Her self crit damage buff makes Crit Chance and Crit DMG stats especially valuable
